What this website does not do
This website works without any tracking. In detail:
- It sets no cookies of its own.
- It measures neither reach nor user behaviour and embeds no analytics services.
- The fonts are hosted on this website’s own server, so no request goes to Google Fonts or any other provider.
- Apart from the trailer, it runs no JavaScript.
- It offers no contact form.
The one exception is the trailer on the homepage: it comes from Vimeo. We ask you beforehand; without your consent nothing is sent to Vimeo.
Server log files
With every request, your browser automatically transmits data that the server records in log files:
- the address requested
- the date and time of the request
- the volume of data transferred and the message confirming successful retrieval
- browser type and version
- the operating system used
- the page visited before, if your browser transmits it
- the IP address
This data serves solely to deliver the website free of technical faults and to detect attacks. It is not combined with other data and is not evaluated for advertising purposes.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in the secure and trouble-free operation of the website.
The log files are deleted after seven days at the latest. There is no statutory obligation to retain them; the period follows from what is necessary for troubleshooting and for fending off attacks.
The website is hosted by Variomedia AG, August-Bebel-Straße 68, 14482 Potsdam, Germany. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.
Getting in touch
If you contact us by e-mail or telephone, we process your details in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the enquiry concerns a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We delete the data as soon as it is no longer required and no statutory retention period applies.
Press materials
The PDF files offered for download are stored on the same server as the website. Downloading them generates only the log data described above. No registration takes place.
Trailer (Vimeo)
The trailer is hosted at Vimeo and embedded on the homepage. The provider is Vimeo.com, Inc., 330 West 34th Street, 10th Floor, New York, NY 10001, USA.
Once you consent, the Vimeo player is loaded. In doing so, Vimeo learns your IP address and which page you called up — even if you never start the trailer. Vimeo may set cookies and recognise you; if you are logged in to Vimeo, the request can be linked to your account there. We have no influence on the scope and purpose of this processing.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG. You may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future; this does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out until then.
The data is transferred to the USA. Vimeo states that it is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Details are set out in Vimeo’s privacy policy: vimeo.com/privacy
Withdrawn. We will ask again the next time you open the homepage.

You have the following rights in relation to us. An informal message to the address given above is enough.
